‘Effective monitoring of pvt schools soon’

Srinagar, June 11: Jammu & Kashmir Government is contemplating effective mechanism for regulating the functioning of private schools across the state.
 Addressing students at the book release function of ALOHA here, Commissioner/Secretary School Education Farooq Ahmad Faktoo said that “many steps would be taken to ensure compliance of rules and regulations by private educational institutions of the Valley.”  “We will make sure that private schools follow the rules vis-à-vis staff and infrastructure.”
 Advisor to School Education Department Muhammad Rafi praised the efforts of ALOHA for introducing critical thinking among students. “Over the past 7 to 8 years, ALOHA has been doing a commendable job,” he said.
 Director ALOHA (J&K Chapter), Mubashir Aslam Wafai said that civil society should come forward for monitoring the functioning of educational institutions.
 Meanwhile, the third edition of the book titled “Knowledge Bank” prepared by ALOHA was released on the occasion.
