270 trained at RSETI Baramulla
Srinagar, June 12: Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Baramulla has trained 270 candidates mostly female under 'Entrepreneurship Development" programme during 2011-12.
So far almost 60 per cent of them have established their own units in different sectors of economy and have become entrepreneurs in actual sense, a statement here said. They have also created employment opportunities for others in their vicinity.
The “scenario” was observed during field visit of the RSETI team headed by its Director, Riyaz Ahmad. The Director of the institute said that almost 90 per cent of the entrepreneurs stand financed by the J & K Bank.
