Convenes DLRC meet in Ganderbal
Srinagar, Jun 12: J&K Bank convened a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting in Ganderbal under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Showkat Ahmad Mir. Lead District Manager Masood Ahmad Khan welcomed participants and briefed the house about achievements of the banks under District Credit Plan 2011-12.
Khan said, “The banks have achieved the target of 85 percent by disbursing Rs 87.21 crore to 5450 units against a target of Rs 102 crore to 6060 units under priority sector while as in Government Sponsored schemes the banks have disbursed Rs 14.90 corer to 1214 beneficiaries in the district.”
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman DLRC emphasized upon all the banks to make sincere efforts in achieving the required targets under the district Plan 2012-13.
He stressed upon the government agencies particularly BDOs and bankers of the district to make the farmers aware and educate them about availing the credit facilities. They were advised to facilitate hassle free financing especially under Kissan Credit Card scheme within their service areas so that the required targets are achieved by the end of September 2012.
The meeting was attended by Mukhtar Ahmad Bazaz (CPO), Jagdesh Lal (RBI), Kamal Saine (NABARD), all district officers/line departments and district coordinators of all the banks operating in the district. AGM NABARD Kamal Saine briefed the house about the features and objectives of revised Kissan Credit Card scheme.
