Pulwama facing irrigation water scarcity: Bandh
Pulwama, June 14: MLA Pulwama Muhammad Khalil has expressed dismay over the acute scarcity of irrigation water facility in various areas of this south Kashmir district.
In a statement Bandh said that the lift irrigation schemes at Padgampora, Malangpora, Dogripora, Koil and Rajpora are not functioning properly resulting in sharp decline of irrigation water in the area.
He said the lack of irrigation water in the area is going to adversely affect the crop production.
Bandh has urged the government to ensure availability of round-the-clock power supply so that the irrigation schemes function properly.
