Srinagar, June 14: The league match of the Kashmir Premier League Cricket Tournament was played between Srinagar Sherdills and Anantnag Arsenal at Delhi Public School, Athwajan here on Thursday.
The match started with the introduction of both teams with the Vice-President J&K Olympic Association, Kawar Kuldeep Singh Jamwal , who was the chief guest on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, Jamwal said, “ It is the events that give youth opportunity to showcase their talent. No one will come to know about ones talent until events are organized to give youth chance to flaunt the talent”.
“Dhoni was ordinary player and it is only due to exposure that he could make it big at national and International levels. KPL is the stage for Valley players and if they work hard, we will see them sooner than later playing in IPL and other big events,” he said.

“The valley has talent in abundance and it only needs proper guidance and facilities. And Government should focus on development of infrastructure and promotion of brilliant players, “he added.
