FM for strict budget control

Srinagar, June 15: Urging for strict observance of budget control mechanism, Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Abdul Rahim Rather today enjoined upon the Directors of Finance Department and Financial Advisors and Chief Accounts Officer to act as watchdogs of state exchequer with apt responsibility.
 The minister said the officers should in no case exceed budget allocations or allow any violation of financial code in their respective administrative departments and subordinate officers.
 Speaking at the 5th periodical review meeting of Directors of Finance Department and FA &CAOs convened at Banquet Hall here today, Rather called for maintaining budget control registers in every department so that budget allocations and expenditures could be monitored at various levels.
 Rather urged for prompt response to AG’s draft audit Paras.
