Sajad Lone condemns NC activist’s killing
Srinagar, June 16: Chairman of Peoples’ Conference Sajad Gani Lone on Saturday condemned the killing of an NC activist, Abdul Rehman Ganai, who was shot dead by unidentified gunmen near Natipora here on Friday.
In a statement here Sajad said: “It is time that we restored the sanctity of the Kashmiri life. No Kashmiri should be killed for his political beliefs or affiliations. Those hoping to instill fear in the minds of people by killing innocent unarmed people have failed in the past and will fail yet again. Those maintaining selective silence are only perpetuating the march of death in Kashmir. There is not a single political party, whether mainstream or separatist that has not lost lives in Kashmir. The pain of the mother or the father or the son is the same irrespective of political affiliation of the deceased. These anonymous killings are a grave danger to the sanctity of Kashmiri life. Time has come to introspect and evaluate the losses and redeem humanity in Kashmir. We express our condolences to the bereaved family.”
