Tak elected Prez Bar Association Islamabad
Islamabad (Anantnag): Senior lawyer and Additional Public Prosecutor, Advocate Abdul Samad Tak was today elected as the President of the Bar Association Islamabad (Anantnag). The results ended with a tie with both Tak and his opponent, Public Prosecutor (PP), Muhammad Abass Dar securing 31 votes each. However the caste vote of the Election Commission made the nomination of the Abdul Samad Tak to the post of President. The other contestants for the post which included Advocate Syed Wasiq, Advocate Muneer-u-din Shawl and Advocate Mujeeb-ul-Rehman secured 22, 11 and 11 votes respectively. Advocate Khalid Amin Bichoo was elected as the Secretary of the Bar Association, Islamabad, (Anantnag) unopposed.
