Minister’s escort vehicle hits car

JAMMU: Six persons, including five cops, were injured when an escort vehicle of Industry Minister Surjeet Singh Slathia collided with a car, coming from opposite direction, on Jammu-Pathankote highway at Kalu Chak area, Sunday morning.
 Police said that cavalcade of Industry Minister was heading towards Jammu city from Vijaypur this morning when one of the vehicle had a head on collision with a car.
 Five police constable and a woman were injured in the mishap, who were rushed to Government Medical College and hospital Jammu.
 They were identified as constable Ashwani son of Tej Krishan resident of Barnai, Selection Grade Constable Arvind Sadotra son of Mohan Lal resident of Bishnah, Selection Grade Constable Parshotam and Rajkumar both residents of Vijaypur and Constable Joginder Singh resident of Jakh.
