Allot center
Jamia Milia Islamia University administration has allotted Delhi based examination centres to aspirants from Kashmir Valley who had opted to take B. Tech examination in Srinagar. The Jamia administration had, in March this year, announced that for making it convenient for aspirants of Kashmir Valley, this examination would also be conducted in Srinagar. On this assurance a large number of Kashmir students applied for B. Tech 2012, who otherwise would have preferred not to apply. Now, if they travel to Delhi for appearing in this examination it would entail a week-long travel in addition to incurring huge expenses. Why does the administration of this university put the students of Kashmir to such inconvenience. The Jamia Administration should change their decision and allot Srinagar based examination centres to Kashmiri students before it is too late and the students of Kashmir miss the chance of appearing in the examination.
