ARYANS-SSM JOB FEST
112 CANDIDATES GET APPOINTED
Jammu/Srinagar, June 1: Around 112 candidates got jobs in “Mega Job Fest” organized by Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh in association with SSM College of Engineering & Technology, Srinagar, today, in SSM Campus, Srinagar. A total of 1350 candidates appeared for around 17 companies.
The fest was inaugurated by Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group & Dr Qazi Shabir, Chairman, SSM College. Many Companies provided offer letter to the candidates on the spot. Mrs Qazi Dilafrooz, Vice chairperson, SSM College, Srinagar was also present on this occasion.
Dr Kataria said that this is an effort to bridge the gap between the employers and the potential employees. He said the fest “got an overwhelming response and was fruitful for the students as well” who got an excellent opportunity for a mega placement bonanza. He said last year more than 150 companies visited Aryans campus in various job fests/ campus recruitment drive, now in 2012 Aryans is planning to invite around 250 companies for various recruitment drives.
Mehboob Makhdoomi, Dean SSM College said that Srinagar School of Management (SSM) was established during 1988, which was the first step towards privatization of technical education in J&K state.
Makhdoomi further said that many national & international companies including Antareer Pvt.Ltd, Aska Soft Solutions, AK Speak Wireless, Competent, Dun Web Services, Dominos, HDFC Bank, Inert IT Pvt. Ltd, Netcom Solutions, Leeward Graphics Pvt. Ltd, Leosoft Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Max New York, Net shell Solutions, Kochar Info, Tulip Telecom Pvt. Ltd, Universal HRD Consultancy, V-Node etc. participated in the fest.
Established in 2007, Aryans campus is located at Chandigarh–Patiala highway, near Chandigarh on lush green 20 acres pollution free campus. The group is running MBA, BBA-BCA, B.Ed, Engineering College & Junior Science College (+1 & +2).
