Commercial vehicles to display driving, conductor licenses on windscreen
Srinagar, June 19: According to a notification issued by the Transport Commissioner and Chairman Transport Authority, drivers of passenger and commercial vehicles have been informed to henceforth display their photocopy and details of their driving licence duly attested by the concerned RT/ARTO on windscreen of the vehicles.
“Failure to do so would entail appropriate action under law,” the notification reads.
Further all the owners drivers of the Public Service Vehicles have been advised that henceforth they should not appoint conductors without the valid conductor licence under section 30 of Motor Vehicles Acts 1988 read with rule 27-28 of J&K Motor Vehicle Rules 1919. “Desirous persons for getting the conductor licence can approach the concerned RTO/ARTO forthwith,” the notification said.
