Bold step
The bold and wise statement of chief minister ruling out the
enhancement of retirement age is praiseworthy. People in general and
educated unemployed youth in particular have appreciated this bold
stand taken by chief minister. Moreover, continual hartals, lockouts, and
protests have added to the miseries of the people. While much emphasis
is laid on the overall growth and development of state, acts like
Essential Services Maintenance Act should be strictly imposed on all
government departments for smooth functioning and overall progressive
development of the state.
