Develop attitude of self-dependence: Mirwaiz
Srinagar, June 23: The chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq on Saturday called upon the youth to develop an attitude of self-reliance and self-dependence in every field of life.
“The youth should learn to stand on firm and strong economic basis to live an honourable and economically independent life. This is what Islam is asking us to do and this is also what the prevailing local and international scenario calls for,” said Mirwaiz while inaugurating the showroom of Modern Sweets today at Kaka Saria, Karan Nagar here.
Mirwaiz said the biggest worship according to Islamic teachings is earning through legal and legitimate means. “For this purpose the holy life of most revered Prophet Muhammad (SAW) serves as a model for whole mankind,” he said, adding that it is better to be Giver Group than to be Taker Group.
Mirwaiz called upon the youth and traders’ community to run their business on the principals of Islam.
