Pakistani designer exhibition at Sangarmaal to conclude on Monday
GK CITY CORRESPONDENT
Srinagar, June 23: For those fond of Pakistani designer collections, this could be opportune time to go for shopping at the exhibition-cum-sale at Finesse of Tradition (FT). Reasons: the much talked about event that remained an instant hit in Kashmir will conclude Monday.
With this, will go off, the “first ever discount” offer by leading designers like Bareez’e and Junaid Jamshed, who as a “token of love for people of Kashmir” slashed the selling prices by 30% soon after the kick-start of the event.
Insiders said given the huge rush of shoppers, the FT people decided to conclude the event before the stocks, imported from the neighbouring country, exhaust.
A beeline of shoppers has been thronging Sangarmaal, City’s fashionable mall, where the exhibition started on June 12. While, who is who of the Pakistani brands were out for sales, the variety of shoppers was equally surprising.
From politicians to ministers, to bureaucrats to Aam Aadmi, a variety didn’t miss to buy their favourite collection from the FT where internationally renowned designers like Kayseria, Chinyere, The Working Woman and Shahnameh had made it for sales.
The event remained so much in news that over 15000 news websites across the globe reportedly gave coverage to the FT within 24 hours of its start in this City in the Himalayas.
The Pakistani brands attracted thousands of aspiring shoppers –giving a new lease of life to Sangarmaal City Centre, a centrally located mall which had mostly remained deserted since its inauguration some two years back by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah.
