I don’t owe PDD: Hakim Yasin

Srinagar, June 25: Chairman of Peoples Democratic Front and MLA Khansahab, Hakim Muhammad Yasin, Monday said that there was no outstanding of Power Development Department against him.
 “I have cleared all liabilities of electricity tariff and the information of PDD that there are liabilities against me is baseless,” he said, adding that the situation vis-à-vis power supply is grim in Kashmir.
 “The situation has worsened in rural areas due to inefficiency of PDD,” he said.
 He said a defaulter is a defaulter and he needs to be treated alike whatsoever the status he/she enjoys in the government or as a private entity.
“The tariff should be recovered from every defaulter and not only from poor consumers,” he demanded.
