JK Bank to open 26 branches, 20 ATMs in Jammu

Inaugurates business unit, organizes credit counselling meet

Srinagar, June 25: J&K Bank today inaugurated a fully computerized Business Unit (B.U) at Dablehar in Tehsil R S Pura of Jammu district.
 Minister for Technical Education, Youth Services, Sports and Medical Education R S Chib inaugurated the B.U in presence of local MLA Professor Gharu Ram, officers of Tehsil Administration, R.S. Pura, senior officers of J&K Bank.
 A large gathering of people from the township and adjoining areas were present on the occasion, a JK Bank handout said.
 Speaking on the occasion, Chib congratulated the Bank management for opening such state-of-the-art B.U. at Dablehar.
 He appreciated the efforts of Bank management for providing world class financial services to the people, particularly those living in rural and far flung areas.
 J&K Bank President and Zonal head O P Sharma said, “It is a moment of delight to dedicate this fully computerized Business Unit to the people of Dablehar.”
 He urged the people to avail the benefits of products and services of the bank.
 This is the 63rd B.U of the bank in Jammu district and 104th in Jammu central zone, he said.
 He informed the gathering that the Bank plans to open another 26 B.Us and 20 ATMs in Jammu Central Zone.
 It was the 609th B.U of the bank & fifth one inaugurated in the current financial year.
 Prof Gharu Ram and Nishi Baru Vice President J&K Bank also addressed the gathering.

Credit Counselling
 Meanwhile, the Bank organized a Credit Counselling meet at Business Unit Arnas in District Reasi. The meeting was attended by a good gathering representing a cross section of society like businessmen, government employees, senior citizens, social activists and members of panchayats.
 R K Chhibber J&K Bank Zonal Head Jammu (West) presided over the meet. Prem Prakash Gupta Cluster Head Poonch was also present on the occasion.
 While interacting with customers Zonal Head gave a detailed account of schemes of the bank tailor-made to suit the needs of all sections of the society.
 He appealed the farming community to avail hassle free loan under KCC along with the benefits of interest subvention extended to the Bank by RBI & Government of India.
 He said that the Bank has devised a plan to ensure that every farmer in service area receives KCC.
 He also appealed the people, particularly educated youth to avail the benefits of various government sponsored schemes especially SKEWPY.
 Those present on the occasion appreciated the efforts of the bank in financial services to the people from far off places and demanded installation of ATM in the area.
 Present among the participants Choudhary Abdul Sarpanch said that proactive approach of the bank has helped the youth residing in the far-flung areas of the Block in establishing their own income generating units.
 Bansi Lal Head BU Arnas thanked the participants for their valuable suggestions and purposeful interaction.
