Grand Mufti calls Khanyar Chalo

Srinagar, June 26: The Grand Mufti of Kashmir, Mufti Bashir-ud-Din, has called for Khanyar Chalo on Friday even as he urged the Hurriyat factions to join Friday prayers there.
“I urge people to reach Khanyar on Friday to offer congregational prayers,” Mufti Bashir-ud-Din’s spokesman Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam told Greater Kashmir.
Mufti Bashir-ud-Din, who is not feeling well, appealed the Hurriyat factions to join the congregational prayers near the shrine of Dastgeer Sahab (RA).
“Also, I appeal all the religious leaders and scholars to attend the congregational prayers, irrespective of individual ideologies,” he said.
