Badamwari complains of dilapidated parks
Srinagar, June 27: Residents of Badamwari Hawal have complained that the Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) has failed to beautify two parks in the area, which are in shambles for the past over two decades.
In 2011 these two parks were included in the works programme of Lakes Division-I, but no ground work was undertaken thereby, they said.
In May, MLA Zadibal Mir Afaq visited the area and assured that these parks would be developed soon, the residents said.
“But till now nothing has been done... Garbage heaps lying unattended at the park stench a lot during the ongoing summer and there’s every possibility of outbreak of epidemic,” the residents feared.
The appealed the VC LAWDA Irfan Yasin to personally look into the matter.
