Coalition has failed to deliver: Mufti

Bani (Kathua), June 28: Accusing Congress and National Conference of “betraying the people of Jammu and Kashmir”, Patron Peoples Democratic Party and former Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed Thursday said that the ruling coalition alliance has failed to deliver and do justice with the common masses.
“The present regime has miserable failed to do justice with the people as it has not fulfilled any of the promises made with the people during 2008 elections,” he alleged, addressing a public meeting here today.
Mufti said that the coalition government was “patronizing corruption which has crossed all the limits.” “All the claims by the government to check the menace have proved hollow,” Mufti said.
Seeking support of the people to change destiny of the state, Mufti said that it was “my desire to establish a system where every sections of the society would get justice and equal opportunities of development and economic growth.”
He said that during his tenure the PDP led regime has “proved its capability of changing life of the common masses by treating all individual equally and providing equal opportunities to all sections of the society.”
“During our tenure, I utilized my 50 years long political experience to provide good governance to the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
He added that PDP led regime had brought transparency and accountability in the governance by strengthening democratic institutions in the state.
