HC notifies summer vacations schedule for Jammu

Justice JP Singh to be Vacation Judge for both wings

Jammu, June 2: Jammu and Kashmir High Court today issued the summer vacation notification and maintained that the State High Court would remain closed for summer vacation from June 16, 2012 to June 30, 2012 (both days inclusive).
 The notification said that Justice JP Singh would be the vacation Judge for both the wings of the State High Court to hear all matters of urgent nature for the period commencing from June 25, 2012 to June 27, 2012 at Srinagar Wing and June 28, 2012 to June 30, 2012 at Jammu Wing.
 Meanwhile, State High Court also notified the Vacation Schedule for Subordinate Courts of Jammu Province excluding Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Batote, Doda and Banihal.
 “The said courts shall observe 15 days summer vacation with effect from June 16, 2012 to June 30, 2012 (both days inclusive). The notification further said that the Principal District & Sessions Judges and Chief Judicial Magistrates of all the Districts shall make suitable arrangement for disposal of urgent criminal business arising during the period of such vacations in the areas within their respective jurisdiction” the notification maintained.
