Hoteliers Club seeks spl zone for hotels in Master Plan
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, June 2: Pitching for the allocation of special zones for construction of hotels and guesthouses in the Master Plan, Hoteliers Club has said there is need for upgrading infrastructure in hospitality sector.
“A tourist hutment area should be earmarked from Chashma-Shahi to Dara and it should be developed on modern lines to overcome shortage of infrastructure in the hospitality sector,” Chairman Hoteliers Club, Mushtaq Chaya said at the function held at SKICC on June 1.
Vice Chairman, Hoteliers’ Club Riyaz Ahmad Shadad suggested that face-lift, upgradation and repairs of the properties on the Boulevard should be allowed and for that purpose government should approach the High Court to get permission.
President Pahalgam chapter of Hoteliers Club, Asif Iqbal Burza said there is a dire need to upgrade infrastructure and for that government should initiate necessary action.
The hoteliers were interacting with Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand at a meeting here yesterday.
The minister, according to a statement of Hoteliers’ Club, assured them that government would take their suggestions and will deliberate upon them.
