Children visit Assembly Complex, interact with Speaker

Srinagar, June 29: A Group of 28 children belonging to Gurez and far-flung areas, who were on a tour outside the state, led by MLA, Gurez Nazir Ahmad Gurezi visited Assembly Complex Friday where they met the Speaker J&K Assembly, Muhammad Akbar Lone and interacted with him.
 An official handout said the visiting group while” expressing their experiences individually told the Speaker that it is the first time they have interacted with the other contemporaries outside the state and it will be memorable visit of their lives.”
 After going through the J&K Assembly Complex, the children showed keen interest in the political affairs and tried to understand the functioning of the Assembly.
 “On the occasion, the Speaker lauded the role of the management for conducting such tours of the children of the border areas and said these tours shall also be conducted in the future so that the children get acquainted with the other part of the country and hoped that these rural based children may achieve their goals,” the handout said.
 The tour of the children was conducted by 15 Maratha Light Infantry.
