Inculcate moral values among children: G H Mir
Srinagar, June 29: Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir has impressed upon the parents and teachers to inculcate moral values among the children to ensure development of a sound society. He said our nation is known for the virtues of morality and urged there should be no compromise on it.
The minister said this while speaking at the valedictory function of the “ National Integration & Peace Camp” organized by Union Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and National Youth Project, New Delhi in collaboration of Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K here this afternoon.
Mir said that Indian is known by morality not by violence adding that the youth have to play a crucial role to make India globally powerful on the basis of morality and not on the basis of atomic capability. He said that our country is emerging as a great economic power but some countries in the world do not like it.
Asking the youth to adopt the philosophy of Gandhian non violence, Mir said that non violence has a huge scope for resolving the issues globally which the father of the Nation has proved it practically during freedom movement of the nation.
He said that there could be idelogical differences among the communities and states, but all the issues could be resolved through dialogue and reconciliation. He said ‘we shall have to build the capacity of accommodation and tolerance to listen each other’s ideas as it is the only way for resolving issues and living coherence and amity.”
