Srinagar, June 3: The residents of Azad Basti Natipora are up in arms against the police for what they said growing incidents of thefts in this south City area.
 A delegation of the locals told Greater Kashmir that the theft incidents have surged in the past few days as around a dozen houses were targeted. “Jewelry and other valuables worth millions have been stolen,” the victims said.
 They said despite repeated appeals the police had failed to check the menace.
 They appealed MLA Amira Kadal and MOS Home Nasir Aslam Wani to personally look into the matter.
