Come clear on Kashmir: Malik to Iran
Srinagar, June 3: Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Sunday urged Iran to use its good offices to press for the resolution of Kashmir issue.
“Iran has an important role in the Islamic world. It can also play its role in the resolution of Kashmir. Iran has very warm and cordial relations with India as well as Pakistan. I appeal the religious as well as political leadership of Iran to use their influence in the settlement of Kashmir issue,” Mirwaiz said at the function organized to pay tributes to Imam Khumani
Mirwaiz also said that Iran and Kashmir have historical and religious ties. Saints who preached Islam in Kashmir were from Iran, so we the people of Kashmir have lot of expectations from Iran.
