BBIA flays PDD for erratic power supply
GK NEWS NETWORK
JAMMU, JUNE 4: Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating power supply scenario in SIDCO Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana, for the last one month.
It has appealed to the Chief Minister to intervene and ensure uninterrupted power supply to the industrial area.
In a meeting of BBIA held under the chairmanship of Anil Suri, the participants strongly flayed the Power Development Department (PDD) for repeated power failures in the Industrial area. “The PDD is not taking the issue seriously due to which the industrialists are facing huge financial losses. The PDD authorities are responsible for the supply, maintenance and up keep of Power Infrastructure in the industrial complex and should be held accountable for repeated power breakdowns.”
Association said the matter was discussed with the Chief Engineer M&RE many times, but no action has been taken so far to improve the power scenario.
Due to non-availability of spares at the Grid Stations situated in Bari Brahmana Industrial Area, the unscheduled Power Cuts are being prolonged everyday.
BBIA appealed to the Chief Minister to personally intervene into the matter and issue necessary orders for the allocation of funds for the replacement of faulty equipments at the Grid Stations and also for providing adequate staff.
