Creative writing , RTI workshops held at CUK
Srinagar, May 4: A weeklong workshop on “Creative Writing” began on Monday at the department of Convergent Journalism, Central University of Kashmir.
Noted writer and columnist Humra Quraishi is resource person for the workshop. The inaugural session was chaired by the vice-chancellor of CUK Prof Abdul Wahid. The session was attended by the faculty and students of the department of convergent journalism, CUK.
“During the workshop the students will be exposed to the contemporary trends in creative writing and the publishing industry. The workshop would encourage the students to produce short creative pieces based on their experiences, to be later compiled as an anthology,” said a spokesman of the University in an official handout.
Meanwhile Central Information Commissioner Shailesh Gandhi addressed students of Human Rights and Law at Srinagar campus of Central University.
“Right to Information Act helps to make Government accountable and this is the best tool which can be used to ensure good governance and transparent administration,” said Shailesh Gandhi while addressing the students.
