LA panel meets

Srinagar: A House Committee of Legislative Assembly to “Ascertain the Factual Position regarding the illegal encroachment of wetland, for its conversion for residential purposes in Srinagar, Baramulla and Bandipora districts” was held under the chairmanship of MLA, Mir Saifullah here on Monday, an official spokesman said. 
  He said the threadbare discussion was held on illegal encroachments of wetlands at Parihaspora and decided that Committee would conduct on-the-spot inspection soon.
 Legislators, Nazir Ahmed Gurezi, Nizam-ud-Din Bhat, Peerzada Mansoor Hussain and Syed Basharat Ahmed Bukhari gave their suggestions to improve the functioning of the Committee.
