Body fished out from Jhelum: Police

Srinagar, June 4: The body of 13-year-old girl Iqra Jan daughter of Ghulam Muhammad Jan of Urdu Bazar Fateh Kadal who had been missing since May 29 afternoon, was fished out from Jhelum Monday evening, police said.
 SP north City Tahir Salim Khan said body was fished out from near Baghiyas area of Chattabal in the City. He said the body would be handed over to her parents after post mortem Tuesday.
 As per police, Iqra  Jan was last seen last week when she returned to her home after visiting her aunt living at Nishat. She left home at around 2 PM to buy some commodities from the nearby market but didn’t return.
 Her father had filed a missing report at Police Station Mahraj Gunj while the case was being probed.
