Satya College kicks off admission campaign
Announces free hostel facility for JK students
Srinagar, June 4: Satya College of Engineering and Technology, Delhi/NCR, today launched its admission campaign 2012 in Jammu and Kashmir. The college will continue its free hostel facility (including meals) for J&K students taking admission this year too, it said in a statement. “The college, which is AICTE-approved, is also offering motivational scholarship schemes to students to raise their education level and to create healthy competition among them.” 'The Schemes include up to 100 per cent scholarship," it said. Amrik Singh, Deputy Director (T&P), Satya College said: “The students from J&K have contributed a lot in every aspect be it their academic performance or cultural activities. Student are already pursuing from almost every district of Kashmir like Srinagar, Pulwama, Budgam, Ganderbal, Islamabad (Anantnag), Baramulla, Bandipora.”
Singh said the college has vision to provide the jobs before the students complete their Engineering & MBA degrees. To achieve this goal, college recently organized a Mega Job Fair in its campus for 8th semester of B Tech and 4th semester of MBA students/ “16000 students from all across India enrolled and 4200 students were invited on merit basis,” he said, adding that 21 reputed companies such as Tech-Mahindra, HCL, GENPACT, WIPRO, Modicare, Capegemini, etc came in the campus and interviewed 3600 students and 480 students in a single day got shortlisted. The Fair was completely self financed and self managed by the college.
