PAC seeks status of Leh-Kargil transmission line

Srinagar, June 5: Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Legislative Assembly today sought the status of work on Leh-Kargil transmission line besides under construction grid stations and receiving stations across the state from Power Development Department (PDD), an official statements aid.
It also sought information about the measures taken for extension of HT, LT connectivity to the new habitations, besides installation and augmentation of transformers.
The Committee, which met under the Chairmanship of MLA Rafi Ahmed Mir here decided that it will examine the audit paras and working of the Power Development and Rural Development Departments in its next meeting to be held on June 11 and June 18.
Legislators, Vijay Bakaya, Bashir Ahmed Magray, Peerzada Mansoor Hussain, Sukhandan, s. Indu Pawar and Syed Basharat Ahmad Bhukhari gave their valuable suggestions to improve the functioning of the Committee.
The Committee also sought detailed information about progress made under the revised APDRP scheme in the State.
The panel sought information about the power curtailment schedule affected last year.
