Srinagar, June 6: Hours after J&K High Court dismissed the petitions of candidates seeking recognition of distance mode degrees in government jobs, Secretary Service Selection Board Aman Din Wednesday said provisional lists of teachers would be declared soon excluding the dismissed petitioners.
“Provisional lists of almost 1800-2000 candidates from seven districts in Kashmir and one in Jammu would be declared soon,” he said. “Candidates whose petitions were dismissed by High Court would be out rightly excluded from the lists. The formulation of provisional lists would be dealt by concerned Selection Committee and it will take almost 10 days.”
The Secretary said final lists for three districts – Ganderbal, Kulgam and Islamabad (Anantnag) – were already declared. “As there was no stay over the final lists of Kulgam and Anantnag, candidates from district Ganderbal whose petitions were dismissed would also be excluded from the selection list,” Din said.
The Jammu and Kashmir Government in December 2010 vide notification No. 7 0f 2010 had advertised the posts. “In Kashmir division at least 2500 while as in Jammu division 2000 posts were offered. In Jammu division there is stay on one district – Kathua. After the decision comes we will publish the list for that district as well,” the Secretary said.
