Khan, CE discuss 220-KV Sgr-Leh transmission line
Kargil: Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil, Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan, on Thursday met Chief Engineer Power Grid Corporation of India to discuss the formalities and necessities to lay 220-KV Srinagar-Leh Transmission line and construction of sub station at Kargil and Drass.
The meeting was attended by executive councilors and officials of district administration. They discussed the availability of suitable land for construction of sub stations.
The CEC assured to provide land at Laqthang in Drass and a suitable land somewhere in Kargil. The tendering process for laying the transmission line would start from next month.
