AAC pays tribute to Moulvi Mushtaq

Srinagar, June 8: J&K Awami Action Committee Srinagar Friday paid glowing tributes to Shaheed Moulvi Mushtaq Ahmed, uncle of Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umer Farooq on his eight anniversary.
A spokesman of the AAC said hundreds of party workers and leaders of the organization hailed the contribution of Moulvi Mushtaq.
“He was subjected to detention in jails, detention centers, and torture. He sacrificed his life for the cause of Kashmiris,” the spokesman said in a statement.
The participants also paid tributes to Moulana Yousuf Shah, Late Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq, Shaheed Moulvi Mushtaq Ahmed for “striving to realize the dream of Kashmiris.”
“They did not bow down before the rulers of time but presented a bold leadership in the struggle of achieving the goal,” the spokesman said.
He said Mirwaiz Umer Farooq could not attend the meet due ill health. However on his directions, party has decided to observe 20th June as the Foundation Day to remember the young boys killed in 2010.
