Kashmir issue worst human tragedy: Malik
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, June 8: Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front Muhammad Yasin Malik Friday said that Kashmir issue is “a worst example of human tragedy and its final settlement is imperative for the real peace and stability of the subcontinent.”
“The foreign secretaries of India and Pakistan are engaged in talks to find out a solution to varied bilateral issues. The foreign secretary of Pakistan is visiting New Delhi very soon to hold talks with his counterpart and this systematic and organized process of talks is a welcome development. But it is imperative to give priority to the issue of Jammu Kashmir issue in the process of talks,” Malik said, addressing a public meeting at main chowk of Khiram, Bijbehara, in Islamabad (Anantnag) district. “We hope that Kashmir issue would also become a focus in the process of talks. And both the countries would acknowledge the people of state as principal party to this issue, ensuring their participation in talks to find out a just and viable solution to it.”
Malik said the resolution of Kashmir issue “is indispensable for durable peace, progress, development and stability of the subcontinent.”
Malik was accompanied by Front leaders including Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Mir Siraj-ud-Din, Imtiyaz Ahmad Bita, Muhamamd Aslam Sheikh, Bashir Kashmiri, Prof. Javid, Muhamamd Ishaq Ganai, Ghulam Qadir Hyder, Ghulam Muhamamd Dar, and Muhammad Azam Zargar.
