Badamwari Hawal sans electricity for 6 days
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Mar 11: The residents of Badamwari Hawal have accused Power Development Department (PDD) of failing to restore electricity in their area even after lapse of six days.
According to the residents, the area transformer catering to many households developed technical snag on Tuesday and despite constant reminders and appeal to PDD, the department has failed to restore the electricity with the result they are facing hardship.
A delegation of residents told Greater Kashmir that the colony transformer had some problems prior to the snag.
“We can’t go to the Masjid for evening prayers as there is no electricity. The problem is more so for the elderly who find it difficult to walk in the dark,” said the residents.
The residents now fear that burglars could easily target their households in the colony.
They appealed the concerned Executive Engineer PDD to look into the matter and get the problem which their colony is facing solved at the earliest.
