55604 daily wagers regularized: Govt

Jammu, Mar 14: Minister of State for Finance, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma on Wednesday informed the Legislative Assembly that out of 59105 daily rated workers registered with the Finance Department 55604 have been regularized till date.
 Replying to question by Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, the Minister said remaining DRWs will be considered for regularization as an when their proposals are received by the Finance department.
 He said regularization of eligible DRWs in terms of SRO-64/94 is a continuous process and the DRWs engaged prior to imposition of ban are eligible for regularization in terms of the said SRO.
