DeM concerned at detainees’ plight

Srinagar, Mar 14: Expressing serious concern over the deplorable plight of Kashmiri pro-freedom detainees in jails, Dukhtaran-e-Millat on Wednesday alleged that these detainees were denied medical facilities “under a well thought out plan to let them die.”
In a statement, the DeM press secretary alleged that the incarcerated leaders including Dr Qasim Faktoo, Masrat Alam Bhat, Raja Meraj-ud-Din Kalwal and Peer Saifullah were deliberately deprived of any medical treatment in jails.
“These leaders are suffering from various diseases. Peer Saifullah is suffering for a tumour in his head. Dr Qasim Faktoo is fast losing his vision and the doctors have advised him immediate ocular surgery. He is also suffering from stomach and intestinal diseases and disc problem,” she said.
