Permission for residential house misused to construct hospital
MUKEET AKMALI
Srinagar, Mar 14: Want to know how brazenly the building norms have been violated over the years? Sample this response to the RTI application which has revealed that a hospital has been constructed instead for permission of a residential house in Hyderpora area.
The application filed by Abdul Rashid Khan of Hyderpora wherein he aspired to know status of his neighboring building revealed that permission had been granted for the construction of single storey house, but the owner of the property in violation of building permission turned it into hospital. This the SMC revealed in response to the RTI.
“It is in sheer violation of law. I want to know what SMC and its BOCA had been doing. Instead of constructing residential house , he has constructed commercial property which is a sheer violation of law,” the complainant said adding that action should be taken against the accused.
