Rainawari exchange to go hi-tech today: BSNL
Srinagar, Mar 14: In a bid to improve its service in the City, the BSNL is scheduled to commission 1000 lines in new telephone exchange RSU (Remote Switch Unit) at Rainawari on Thursday
According to a BSNL handout: “This exchange will cover the areas of Rainawari, Zindashah Masjid and Surteng. The numbering scheme of new exchange is 2507XXX and the previous numbers of customers in these areas shall be changed.”
“The first 4 digits of the phone number are replaced by 2507, if the existing number is 2450000, the changed number will be 2507000,” the statement reads.
However, the changed number enquiry will be available by dialing 197 or 1951.
