Seminar on Shah-e-Hamadan (RA)
Scholars present papers,6 technical sessions held
Srinagar, Mar 14: Scholars and academicians from different universities of the country Wednesday presented their papers on the second day of the 3-day international seminar on “Shah-e- Hamadan`s contribution to learning and society” organized by Shah-e-Hamadan Institute of Islamic studies , Kashmir University on Wednesday.
The first technical session was chaired by prominent historian and former Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof Muhammad Ishaq Khan during which scholars Dr Latif Ahmad Kazmi, from Dept of Philosophy, AMU, Dr Obaidullah Fahad, Dept of Islamic Studies , AMU , Dr Abdul Majeed Khan, Senior Assistant Professor, Dept of Islamic studies AMU and others presented their papers.
A parallel technical session was held simultaneously at the conference hall which was chaired by Professor GQ Mir in which scholars Prof Hamidullah Marazi and Dr Naseem Gul Dar from Institute of Islamic Studies, and Riyaz Ahmad from Dept of Arabic, Kashmir University presented their papers.
The second technical session was chaired by Prof GR Malik during which Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar and Dr Muhammad Ismail from AMU, Dr Sheikh Showkat Hussain from KU and Nazir Ahmad Zarger presented their papers.
In the second technical session, which was chaired by Prof Muhammad Ashraf Wani scholars from IMI Delhi and AMU presented their papers.
The penultimate day of the international seminar concluded with two technical sessions, held simultaneously at Gandhi Bhawan and Conference Hall CCAS chaired by Prof. Ishtiyaque Danish and Prof BA Dabla respectively.
The scholars who presented their papers during these technical sessions include Dr Showkat Hussain Dar, Dept of Islamic Studies, IUST, Awantipora, Dr Maroof Shah Dept of Animal Husbandary, Srinagar, Dr Tasleem Ahmad War Dept of English, KU , Ghulam Nabi Adfar, SKUAST Shalimar, Dr Manzoor Hussain , KU, Dr Mohit Puri Dept of Economics Punjab University Patiala, Mushtaq-ul-Haq Sikandar, KU and Dr Abdul Jaleel Mahbubi from new Delhi.
Each technical session was followed by a question-answer session.
