Involve Kashmiris in talks: JKLF (H)
Srinagar, Mar 16: The chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (H) Javid Ahmad Mir on Friday said that bilateral talks between India and Pakistan won’t serve any purpose and inclusion of Kashmiris is must in the process.
Mir while addressing a gathering at Beerwah in central Kashmir’s Budgam district said, “We are not against the talks process but at the same time we believe Kashmir belongs to Kashmiris so their participation in parleys is a must. Besides, it is a known fact that there will hardly be any abiding improvement in relations between India and Pakistan until Kashmir issue is resolved,” Mir said, adding that “Both countries have suffered tremendous losses in full scale wars over Kashmir since 1947.”
Mir alleged that human rights violations would continue to take place until all the draconian laws like AFSPA and PSA were revoked and state was completely demilitarized. He demanded release of all detainees.
Mir assured that JKLF (H) would extend wholehearted cooperation to Hurriyat Conference in its efforts for unity.
