'SDC to be made operational by year end'

Jammu, Mar 17: A State Data Centre, aimed at ensuring accessibility of all government services to masses through a common delivery platform, would be made operational by the end of this year in Jammu and Kashmir.
 The assurance was given to the Minister for Information and Science Technology, Aga Syed Ruhullah, by the Vice President and Regional Branch Head, Trimax ITI&S Ltd, Rajan Malik while giving project kick off presentation at a function here.
 "Obtaining ration card, electric bill, water bill, state subject besides documents and certificates would become easy for the people living in remote and rural areas through CSCs," Ruhullah said.
 He said that the project is aimed to ensure availability and accessibility of all government services to masses through a common delivery platform.
 The SDC will store date of identified services of entire state in highly secured environment for the use of the citizens of the state, he said.
 He asked executing agency to speed up the process and ensure that target is achieved as per schedule.
