Make it 60
IT IS REALLY NEEDED TO RAISE THE AGE LIMIT ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE EMPLOYEES WHO HAVE VERY LESS SERVICE PERIOD
VIJAY KUMARI KAUL
It should be extended from 58 to 60 bringing it at par with central government employees. I’m a migrant school teacher presently putting up at Jammu and my place of posting was in Govt. Girls Middle School Nazukmohalla, Anantnag at the time of migration. I have done my graduation from Degree College, Anantnag in the year 1975. At the age of 30 after a long struggle I was appointed as a teacher in Dec. 1984. My date of birth is 04 Sep.1954. Being unemployed for a long time my marriage was not solemnized at due time owing to some economic compulsions which my parents were facing at that time. After putting some six years of service at Kashmir an unfortunate exodus took place. I have two issues, both are post graduates and unemployed yet. Unfortunately last year I was diagnosed with NHL, a life consuming disease. My all liabilities and responsibilities are still unresolved and unsolved. It is only because of my late appointment and limited service career. I have even no qualifying service if I’ll retire at the age of 58 and surely it will cause great loss to me towards my pension benefits. And being a teacher I’m already deprived of leave encashment benefits. I’m facing lot of difficulties in managing my financial needs. The retirement at the age of 60 means providing 2 more years which will provide me a chance to fend my family. There will be so many employees like me who may be facing the same problem, so it is really genuine to raise the age limit especially for those employees who have very less service period recorded in their service books like me.
Hope the concern authority try to understand my point and come to the rescue of those employees whose limited service period is bringing a huge loss to their families.
