CSFK hails reservation of ladies’ seats in public buses
Srinagar, Mar 1: The Civil Society Forum Kashmir (CSFK) has hailed the district administration and Traffic Police for reserving seats for ladies in passenger buses.
At its coordination meeting today, the CSFK appreciated Deputy Commissioner Srinagar and Traffic Police for reserving the first eight seats in passenger vehicles for ladies.
Secretary General, CSFK, Omar Trumboo in a statement issued here today said, “Travelling by public buses has become inconvenient for the females in the city, so the reservation of seats for them is a significant move by the civil administration.”
Trumboo said: “The drive by DC Srinagar and SP Traffic, Haseeb Mugal will surely bring a lot of relief to female students and working class while travelling by public transport.”
The CSFK has also appealed to general public and NGOs working for the women rights to support the drive.
