Sufi Saint Ama Sahab passes away
ULEMA, RELIGIOUS, SOCIAL ORGANIZATIONS CONDOLE DEMISE
Srinagar, Mar 22: Sufi Saint Ama Sahab Goshbug, who was in meditation for last 12 years in Beta Bagh Deduna Budgam, passed away this afternoon after a brief illness in SMHS hospital here.
The Nimaaz-e-Jinaaza of the deceased would be held at 2:30 PM on Friday.
He had, earlier, completed his first long time meditation in a cave at Goshbug Baramullah,
Ulema and religious heads besides people from all walks of life have expressed deep grief and shock over the demise of this religious devout which is an irreparable loss to the spiritual world. They said that saintly and divine oration of Ama Sahab always showed his devotees the righteous path of love, tolerance, brotherhood and communal harmony thus saving them from the impact of worldly evils.
Mufti Azam Kashmir, Mufti Bashir-ud-Din Ahmad, in his condolence message has described Ama Sahab as one of the legendary Sufi personality who was being loved by the people for his spiritual guidance for better lives. He said after the death of Sufi Saint Ahad Bub last year, this is another loss to the fraternity of sufi saints in Kashmir valley.
During his meditation, Ama Sahab Goshbug was simply taking water sips continuously for his survival.
Chief patron Dawat e Minhaj ul Islam, Allama Moulana Mohi-ud-Din Naqeeb has expressed profound sorrow over the demise of Ama Sahab and termed him as one of the great legendry saints of the valley.
Director Information and Chairman Hazrat Bulbul Shah Trust Kh Farooq Renzushah has also expressed profound grief over the demise of sufi legend of the valley Ama Sahab. He said that the follower of Silsila Chisti, Ama Sahab was a hope of destiny for thousands of disappointed and ailing persons who used to get his blessings at his meditation place.
Renzushah while highlighting his wonderful deeds prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul.
General Secretary Anjuman-e-Ahnaf Jammu Kashmir, Moulana Akhzar Hussain, president Minhaj ul Islam, Moulana Sajjad Ishbari, Mirwaiz Wasti Kashmir Moulana Lateef, Chairman Makhdoom Sahab Trust and Sajjada Nisheen Moulana Shaid Jeealni Makdoomi other religious scholars , imams and prominent personalities have also condoled the demise of Ama Sahab Goshbug.
