BUEST felicitates Valley students
Distributes laptops, certificates

Srinagar, Mar 25: Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology (BUEST), Himachal Pradesh, Sunday distributed prizes and certificates among the Valley students who had appeared in its entrance examination last December.
Suhail Ahmad was awarded a Macintosh laptop and a certificate for topping the examination. He was also given 50 per cent concession of tuition fee in upcoming academic session in the university.
The second prize, a Dell laptop, was awarded to Amin Yousuf, who was also given a certificate beside scholarship of 50 per cent deduction in tuition fee. The third prize with a laptop went to Arizoo Amin. She was promised 25 per cent fee deduction. She also received a certificate of merit, a BEUST statement said.
On the occasion, academic Prof A G Madhosh who was also chief guest said Baddi University has set a classic example by reaching out to the students in the valley.
“The University has done a commendable job by encouraging the valley students. This very function is not a commercial show-off rather an advocacy for excellence in academics and professionalism. This very measure of theirs is a bold step towards creating opportunities for the youth of valley,” he said.
