Gohidragon people appeal CM
Budgam, Mar 25: The residents of Gohidragon at Khansahib Budgam have said that no works are taking place under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme in the area.
“Gohidragon and other villages in the area have been deprived from availing benefits under NREGS. We appeal Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to intervene in the matter by directing Rural Development Department to undertake works under the flagship scheme so that people get benefited,” a delegation of residents from area told Greater Kashmir.
According to them, NREGS will alleviate poverty and backwardness in the area.
“There is severe under development in the area and executing works under the scheme is the only way to develop the localities,” they added.
