Central team reviews Civil Defence functioning

Srinagar, Mar 29: A Central delegation from Government of India reviewed the functioning of Civil Defence Organisation at SDRF Battalion HQ at Bagat-Barzulla on Thursday.
 An official handout said the delegation comprised of K Amarendra, N Singh and Karan Berry. The Civil Defence team was led by Dy Inspector General of Police, Civil Defence, Mubarak Ahmed Ganai.
 “The delegates informed that the disaster preparedness activities undertaken by Civil Defence in Kashmir are being appreciated throughout the country,” the handout said.
 “They also informed that an exchange programme would be conducted soon, so that the CD volunteers from rest of the country get a chance to visit Kashmir and learn from the experiences,” it added.
 Others who participated in the meeting included Commandant SDRF, Mehrajuddin Shah, Deputy Controller CD, Rafiq Ahmed, Dy SP’s Ghulam Haider, Nazir Ahmed, Abdul Rashid and Muhammed Yusuf, Chief Wardens Omar Nedou and Dr Inayatullah, Dy Chief Warden’s Mauzam Bakhshi, Aamir Ali, Dr Abdul Majid and Dr Naqashbandi.
